The overall goal of the game is to complete your route in the best way possible. This is not Crazy Taxi! By that I mean you are not going to be hauling ass over the sidewalks, grassy areas and so on to get people to their destination as quickly as possible. Instead, you have to stick to your route, drive in a proper manner and make sure you hit all of your stops.

It is so, so tempting to just drive really fast! But your score will go down. You want your score to be above zero. You manage this and you are doing good and can progress in the game. If you drive like a maniac, miss stops, break to harshly and so on, chances are you will fail and have to try again. It sounds boring as hell I know, but it is more addictive than you would think and trying to drive like a normal and good bus driver is way more challenging than you would think.

Explore The Big City

It is pretty impressive how many bus routes there are for you in Bus Driver. There are five tiers for you to play through which as you probably have guessed, get harder as the tier progresses. Each tier will have around five routes for you to complete. The cities are supposed to be in the USA, but some of them have names from the UK and they have a real Eastern European vibe to them so I am not really sure what they were going for here.

The presentation is certainly not going to win any awards and strangely there is no first-person option in the game! the different busses are kind of cool and while I cannot 100 percent confirm these are real busses. Free guitar rig 5 presets. Driving a prison bus, a school bus and even a massive British style double-decker are pretty cool.

I was not sure what to expect going into Bus Driver, but I can tell you it was a far more engrossing experience than I thought it would be. It is the kind of game that is a nice little “curiosity” where you can fire it up and have some fun for an hour or two and probably not go back to it for a few months or even a year. If you are looking for something a little different, Bus Driver is well worth checking out.
